Moldovan wine exports brought in over 111 million dollars to the country
Exports of Moldovan wines brought to the Republic of Moldova more than 111 million dollars, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba, announced on his Facebook page.
According to the official, in 2023, 45% of Moldovan wines were exported to the European Union, it is the main destination. Another 29 percent went to other world countries and 26 percent to the CIS states.
Dumitru Alaiba said that exports increased by 8.6% in January - October 2023, compared to the same period of 2022.
The minister said that the biggest importer of Moldovan wine was Romania with 23%, followed by Georgia and Poland. Wines made in the Republic of Moldova were also sold in the US, Canada, China and other countries.
