COVID-19 cases on a rise in Chisinau
In the municipality of Chisinau, there is an increase of over 30 percent in the number of COVID-19 cases, said the deputy head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, Vladimir Bolocan. According to the official, most cases are of medium or mild severity.
"Against the background of the decrease in acute respiratory infections, unfortunately we have an increase in COVID-19 cases. However, we are cautious. In this way, we urge people to be careful and not to ignore those protective measures under any circumstances, especially if they are symptomatic or show certain symptoms, to avoid traveling in crowded spaces, in order not to infect others". said Vladimir Bolocan.
The official added that approximately 80,000 doses of flu vaccine have been administered, mostly to people in risk categories. We remind you that, in the first week of January, about 7100 cases of acute respiratory infections and over 830 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the Republic of Moldova.
