Moldova's PM at Davos: Partnerships sought for economic drive
Moldova's Prime Minister, Dorin Recean, will navigate a diplomatic course at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos from January 16-18, aiming to solidify international partnerships and promote the country's economic vision.
"The program includes bilateral meetings with key figures, such as Netherlands PM Mark Rutte and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda," announced the Moldovan government. Recean will also engage with heads of state and government from Croatia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Liechtenstein.
Beyond political connections, the forum presents opportunities for economic collaboration. "Discussions with the EBRD president, Odile Renaud-Basso, and representatives of prestigious international companies are scheduled," the statement noted. These talks could pave the way for joint initiatives bolstering Moldova's development aspirations.
Recean intends to leverage the Davos platform to champion his administration's economic agenda. "The forum offers a valuable stage to promote our country's priorities and attract vital investments," the government emphasised.
Joining Recean in Davos will be Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba, and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Energy, Carolina Novac, showcasing the unified front pushing Moldova's economic goals.
The WEF, running from January 15-19, attracts global leaders and decision-makers, making it a crucial platform for Moldova to navigate its place in the international landscape and seek support for its economic trajectory.
