Chisinau Parliament could open an office at the European Parliament
The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova could open an office at the European Parliament, said the Parliament Speaker from Chisinau, Igor Grosu, in a show on TVR Moldova. The official mentioned that this topic was agreed with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
"We have to admit that we were more absent, if we compare ourselves to the Ukrainians and Georgians in the European Parliament. And we have to compensate for this gap. We are discussing how to open this office, what it will deal with, how it will be connected to the parliamentary committees in the European Parliament, etc.", declared Igor Grosu.
We remind you that, on December 14, 2023, our country received the green light to start accession negotiations to the European Union. Currently, the process of adjusting the national legislation to the acquis communautaire is taking place. Meanwhile, the European Commission is preparing the framework for negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.
