Davos 2024: Prospects for collaboration in various key fields, discussed by Dorin Recean with representatives of some international companies
The perspectives of collaboration in various key fields for the economic development of the Republic of Moldova were discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean with representatives of international companies, during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Dorin Recean talked with Menzies Aviation representatives about the importance of strengthening the position of the Republic of Moldova in the field of airport services and our country's intention to establish new partnerships for the development of the aviation sector. For their part, Menzies Aviation representatives expressed interest in the market in our country.
According to a statement issued by the Government, the Prime Minister also had meetings with the representatives of the Google company and it was proposed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for strategic collaboration in digital transformation, economic growth and social development, also exploring the monetization of YouTube in the Republic of Moldova.
With the representative of the Schneider company, specialized in the digitization of electrical networks, the Prime Minister spoke about the development of electrification, the orientation of our country towards renewable energy and the realization of an electricity distribution project for FEE Nord, which would reduce costs for consumers.
The meeting with Lu Yong, vice president of Huawei Technologies, focused on successes in the field of green energy and on collaborations to implement projects to develop energy storage capacities for Moldova. The topic of energy projects was also discussed with Morten Dyrholm, senior vice president at Vestas Wind Systems, one of the world leaders in the production of wind energy production systems.
We mention that, at Davos, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova also had meetings with the representatives of other companies that he invited to the Republic of Moldova. The discussions were based on the immediate opportunities that our country can offer, as well as on long-term projects related to the process of joining the European Union.
