Olesea Stamate resigns from the position of president of the Parliament’s Legal Committee on Appointments and Immunities
Olesea Stamate resigns from the position of president of the Legal Appointments and Immunities Commission in the Parliament, starting on February 1. The official said for Radio Moldova that she will remain a member of the commission and a deputy in the Legislative, because she is involved in several projects.
"Every beginning has an end and I think it's time to take another step, to go to another stage, and that was my decision to retire from the position of President of the Commission, I will be an active deputy within the PAS faction and within the Legal Commission. It is likely to be discussed at the next meeting of the faction who could take over the position. It is a decision that I made after analyzing several aspects, including my professional activity and my personal life. I have certain priorities regarding the legislative creation in the committee and I want to complete certain processes that I have started", declared Olesea Stamate.
The member of the Legal Commission, Vasile Grădinaru, mentioned for Radio Moldova that the deputies of the PAS fraction will decide at the end of January who will be the next president of the Commission.
