A delegation from the Republic of Moldova is participating in the GreenWeek2024 exhibition in Berlin
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova, led by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, will participate in the GreenWeek2024 exhibition in Berlin from January 18-21, 2024. For several days, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, USAID, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Investment Agency and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Germany will be with the local producers present at GreenWeek2024 to help them promote local products on global markets.
"For the Republic of Moldova, the exhibition is a strategic platform, through the presence of domestic producers we present the potential of our country to the entire international community. Here we will use every opportunity to strengthen economic and commercial relations with other states, especially since, in recent years, the Republic of Moldova has made significant progress in the adoption and implementation of EU standards and regulations in the agricultural field. And these advances confirm that the Republic of Moldova can be a serious and reliable partner on the global stage", said Vladimir Bolea.
Our products were discovered by a delegation of German dignitaries, including Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir, Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner, President of the German Farmers' Association Joachim Rukwoed and Director of the Federal Association of the German Agri-Food Industry.
Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea offered the delegation a set of Wild organic wines, produced from the indigenous Fetească Neagră grape variety from the Cricova vineyards, where Cem Özdemir helped harvest the fruit in October 2023, when the Agri-Food Partnership Platform took place.
Vladimir Bolea thanked the German partners for assistance, involvement and mentoring.
For his part, Cem Özdemir mentioned that the place of the Republic of Moldova is in the big EU family, and Germany will provide all the support for this to happen as soon as possible.
The stand of the Republic of Moldova was visited by the German delegation, together with 11 other countries, from the total number of 60 stands present at the exhibition. The Moldovan stand has an area of 100 square meters, where the production of 9 domestic companies is exhibited.
With a history of almost 100 years, the GreenWeek exhibition is an epicenter for the exchange of ideas and experiences between ministers from around the world. Here partnerships are strengthened and new collaboration ties are created on the agricultural dimension. The main concern of decision makers is to identify innovative solutions to challenges in the agricultural sector.
