Minister of Health will participate in the WHO Executive Board session

Universal coverage with health services, protection of the population in case of emergencies, but also ensuring a better level of health are among the topics that will be discussed at the 154th session of the WHO Executive Board, in which the Health Minister Ala Nemerenco will also participate.

The event will take place between January 22-27 in Geneva, the Swiss Confederation, reads a statement of the Ministry of Health. The WHO Executive Board meets in Geneva twice a year and is composed of 34 members, senior health professionals, elected for a three-year term.

We mention that Ala Nemerenco was elected as a member of the WHO Executive Board by the European Region in May 2022. The main functions of the Board are to implement the decisions and policies of the World Health Assembly, to advise and to facilitate its work.
