The priorities and the future of European assistance for the Republic of Moldova were the main topics addressed by President Maia Sandu and the European Commissioner for Budget and Administration in a phone discussion.

The head of state highlighted the importance of the European Union's continuous support for strengthening the country's resilience, modernizing the infrastructure and institutions, as well as for advancing on the path to EU accession.

Also, Maia Sandu reiterated the firm commitment of the Chisinau government to continue the necessary reforms to meet the accession criteria so that Moldova becomes a member state of the EU soon.
