Luminița Odobescu at the meeting of EU foreign ministers: We plead for a predictable accession agenda for Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova
The states of the European Union must use all means to help Kiev in the war, but also to develop a predictable calendar for the accession of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova to the EU bloc. The statement was made by the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminița Odobescu, before the Foreign Affairs Council met in Brussels.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Luminița Odobescu, told journalists that, at this crucial moment, the member countries of the EU bloc must use all the means at their disposal to continue supporting Ukraine. According to the head of Romanian diplomacy, this must remain a priority on the agenda of the European Union.
"We need to quickly implement very important steps for predictable support to Ukraine, namely, to establish the support fund for Ukraine, to unlock the tranche of the European Peace Facility, to reach a political agreement at the European Council next week regarding the Mechanism for Ukraine and to have a predictable calendar of accession for Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova", said Luminița Odobescu.
The foreign ministers of the 27 countries of the European Union met in Brussels today for talks on the Middle East, involving top diplomats from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and even the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
