Oleg Serebrian: Taxes paid to the state budget by economic agents on the left of the Nistru will amount to around 6 million euros
Approximately 6 million euros or 120 million lei will constitute the estimated taxes paid to the state budget by economic agents on the left side of the Nistru River, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, said on Radio Moldova's "La 360 de grade" show.
According to the official, this money will also be directed to the left of the Nistru, for the payment of pensions, medical services, and scholarships.
"Of course, the amount of money that will be paid as a result of these customs duties is not very large. We can estimate 100-120 million lei, which means 5-6 million euros. This money also goes to the Transnistrian region through pensions that are offered to several citizens on the left side of the Nistru , through medical services that are offered to tens of thousands of Moldovan citizens who are on the left side of the Nistru and who benefit from medical services on the right side, someone they have to pay them, this money has to come from certain funds, scholarships - many children from the left side of the Nistru study here, on the right side, secondary and higher education", declared the deputy prime minister.
We remind you that economic agents on the left bank of the Nistru pay, starting January 1, the same customs duties as companies on the right bank, but are still exempt from paying VAT and excise duties on the import and export of goods.
