Chisinau mayor sues government for unfunded duties, sparking feud
Chisinau's simmering dispute with the Moldovan government escalated on Wednesday, with Mayor Ion Ceban filing a lawsuit demanding repayment of a purported half-billion-lei ($28 million) debt.
The claim stems from the government's alleged failure to provide financial support for additional responsibilities delegated to the city administration.
