Bomb attack in occupied eastern Ukraine. The death toll rose to 28 dead
As many as 28 people died as a result of a bombing of a bakery in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region, the Russian authorities announced, writes AFP. The region's so-called governor, Leonid Pasecinik, accused Kiev forces of deliberately attacking the bakery. The structure of the building was 65% destroyed.
Kiev has not yet commented on this information.
The city of Lysychansk, in the Luhansk region, fell to Russian troops after a fierce battle at the start of Moscow's offensive in 2022.
Before the start of the war, the city of Lysychansk had a population of about 110 thousand inhabitants.
