Cristina Gherasimov will take the oath of office as head of the Office for European Integration on Monday
The appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, will take the oath of office as head of the Office for European Integration on Monday. The official ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the presence of President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean, reads a statement of the Presidency.
We remind you that the appointment of Cristina Gherasimov as Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs was announced by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, after Nicu Popescu resigned as Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration at the end of this January.
The institution was renamed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Mihai Popșoi, and Cristina Gherasimov was promoted as head of the Office for European Integration, but also chief negotiator of the Republic of Moldova with the European Union, in the accession process.
