Moldova Secures €31 Million EU Support for Resilience, Recovery, and Reforms

The Republic of Moldova will receive €31 million in financial assistance from the European Union through the "EU4 Moldova Integration and Stability" Program, according to a press release from the Parliament.

The Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee of the Parliament approved the advisory opinion for the negotiation and signing of the Financing Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission.

The program will support resilience, recovery, and priority reforms in Moldova, in line with the 2021-2027 Association Agenda and the country's accession process to the EU. Specifically, €10 million will be allocated to strengthening national capacities to address security threats and migration challenges.

Another €10 million will be dedicated to the agricultural sector, while €11 million will be granted for implementing reforms in public finance management, justice, competition, labour, and energy efficiency.

The agreement will have an implementation period of 72 months from the date of its entry into force.
