Prime Minister Dorin Recean strongly condemns Russia's recent and unjustified attacks against Ukraine, which have once again affected the Republic of Moldova. In a post on the X platform, the PM said that there are currently no risks for the localities in the state border area, and the investigation is ongoing.
"Today, fragments of a drone were found in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova. The investigation is ongoing. Public safety is ensured by the authorities and there are no risks for local communities", wrote Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, condemned Russia's constant barbaric attacks against Ukraine, which directly affect our country.
"The remains of the Shahed drone, found today in the south of the country near the border, are a tough reminder of the violence and destruction by the Kremlin," the deputy prime minister said.
We remind you that fragments of a "Shahed" type drone were detected in the area of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, near the town of Etulia, Vulcăneşti district, informs the Border Police. Access to the region has been restricted. The law enforcement officers state that there are no risks or dangers for the communities in the area, all strict measures being taken to maintain public safety.
