Two candidates to compete for the seat of head of the Court of Accounts
Two people were admitted to the interview test in the competition for the selection of candidates for the position of president of the Court of Accounts. It is about Tatiana Șevciuc and Marin Gospodarenco, whose files were examined and accepted by the Parliamentary Commission for the Public Finances Control.
Three people submitted files to the competition, one of the files was incomplete. Accordingly, two candidates were admitted to the interview test. Both Marin Gospodarenco and Tatiana Şevciuc have experience in the field of public finance.
Previously, they worked in the Court of Accounts. Marin Gospodarenco was head of the department, and Tatiana Șevciuc was appointed by Parliament, in 2022, as a member of the Court of Accounts.
The candidate who gets the highest score will be proposed to the Parliament for appointment as president of the Court of Accounts.
According to the legislation, the president of the Court of Accounts is appointed by the Parliament, for a term of 5 years, with the vote of the majority of the elected deputies. The new president will succeed Marian Lupu in office.
