According to the data presented by the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, in 2023, 84.55 thousand tons were exported with a total value of 75.67 million dollars, at an average price of 0.9 dollars per kilogram.
Last year, the geography of exports expanded considerably, with deliveries to 33 countries, compared to 23 countries in 2022. Among the new destinations are Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Serbia, Italy, Lithuania, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, etc.
According to the decision of the European Parliament, Moldovan grape exporters can access the EU market without tariff or quantitative restrictions. But this comes with increased responsibility, as it is essential that producers engage in effective planning and coordination to ensure that their grapes meet the strict quality and safety requirements of the European market.
