Maia Sandu, at the conference on the European integration of the Republic of Moldova: "Our road to the EU has just started"

Through the measures to reduce bureaucracy in the economy adopted during the past year, Moldovan entrepreneurs saved about 0.5% of the GDP, money that can be directed to investments and innovations, said President Maia Sandu. At the conference on the European integration of the Republic of Moldova and prospects for business development, organized in Chisinau, the head of state reiterated the message that this process will bring opportunities and major economic benefits.

"Our road to the European Union has just begun. For our economy it means a nectar to some unprecedented opportunities. The prospect of being part of the single market, the largest market in the world, represents the prospect of producing the growth we need to build European Moldova, and I convey to all those who want to come to us, trust the Republic of Moldova", said Maia Sandu.

The European integration process, which has already begun, is proceeding much faster than in the case of other states, says Romanian MEP Siegfried Mureșan. According to the official, in the coming years, European living standards will be felt by citizens and the business environment of the Republic of Moldova.

"This whole process of getting closer to the European Union will mean that the Republic of Moldova will take over, according to the local specifics, the legislation and standards of the European Union, the protection of the consumer, the environment and quality. The European Union integrates the Republic of Moldova in all programs", said the official.

We remind you that, at the meeting of the European Council in December last year, the Republic of Moldova obtained the green light from the states of the EU bloc to start accession negotiations. In February, our country started the process of evaluating the national legislation and harmonizing it with the European one.
