Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Kiev: Ukraine has made significant progress in this war
Ukraine, with the help of its partners, during the two years of war, managed to liberate more than 50 percent of the territories illegally occupied by the Russian army, claims the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Kiev, Valeriu Chiveri. According to the diplomat, although the situation is not easy because the war does not spare anyone, nevertheless, Ukraine has made significant progress in this war.

"It won the battle for the Black Sea by inflicting painful blows on the Russian naval fleet and ensured the functionality of the grain corridor. Important to note is that it was a 5% GDP growth after a dramatic 30% drop in 2022. We managed to protect the energy sector despite previous hits. No less important was the activity of state and social institutions, the activity of the financial sector a decision was made to start accession negotiations to the European Union of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova", said Valeriu Chiveri.
We remind that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, in addition to hosting more than 100 thousand Ukrainian refugees, has offered several batches of humanitarian aid. Next week, Chisinau will send material goods to Ukraine in the amount of 4.9 million lei. The lot contains goods from the energy, medical fields, such as blood transfusion systems and disinfectants, as well as canned food.
