Expert: In 2023, the incomes of the population will increase, and the level of consumption will be restored
This year the incomes of the population will increase, says the economic expert Veaceslav Ioniță. He predicts that once the danger of inflation has passed, the National Bank of Moldova will relax the monetary policy, and the banks will be more active, which will encourage consumption by the population.
"It is the year of recovery after two years of decreasing real incomes of the population. 2023, I really hope that people's perception will change, people will start to become more optimistic about the future, inflation will decrease, the price of energy resources, most likely will go down considerably, other prices, their growth will be a very modest one, people will have a much more optimistic feeling and perception than in 2022, which means a restoration of consumption", explained Veaceslav Ioniță.
Radio Moldova recalls that inflation in November of 2022 reached over 34% in the Republic of Moldova.
