Daniel Vodă, about the alleged congress in Tiraspol: "The authorities of the Republic of Moldova calmly evaluate the things that are happening there"
The so-called Congress of deputies from Tiraspol is another campaign that tries to hysterize the society, said today, the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă. He reiterated that there is no danger of escalation and destabilization in the Transnistrian region.
"This alleged congress and the discussions that will take place are directed by those on the left of the Nistru, but also those from the Kremlin specifically with the intention of creating this hysteria. The authorities of the Republic of Moldova calmly evaluate the things that are happening there and, as I mentioned, the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova is aligned with the peace and security objectives of the country", said Daniel Vodă.
We remind you that last week, the so-called leader of the Transnistrian region, Vadim Krasnoselski, announced the convening of a congress in connection with the alleged economic pressures from Chisinau. Then, the left-wing opponent of Nistru, Ghenadi Ciorba, stated that the purpose of the congress would be to address a request to the Russian Federation to accept the Transnistrian region in its composition. Yesterday the information was denied by the so-called Tiraspol administration, stating that a request to Russia and the European Union to denounce the economic pressure of the Republic of Moldova against Tiraspol will be adopted at the Congress.
