Nicu Popescu will participate in two high-level meetings of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in Bucharest and Poland
The Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, is participating in the meetings of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of NATO in Bucharest and of the OSCE in Poland between November 29 and December 2.
"I will take part in two high-level meetings of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in Bucharest (Romania) and Lodz (Poland)," wrote Nicu Popescu on his Telegram page. The head of diplomacy from Chisinau will participate in the meeting of foreign ministers from the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance hosted in Bucharest, being the first high-level event of NATO in a state on the Eastern Flank after the start of Russia's brutal war against Ukraine and with the participation of Finland and Sweden, in the process of joining NATO. Our country's participation in the NATO ministerial will take place on Wednesday, November 30, during the working sessions in the format of allies and partners, to which the Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina were invited. In the Romanian capital, Minister Nicu Popescu will also have a bilateral program, being received by the interim president of the Romanian Senate, Alina Ștefania Gorghiu, as well as other political leaders from Bucharest. Also, between December 1 and 2, Nicu Popescu will participate in the proceedings of the 29th annual meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which will take place in the city of Lodz, Poland, the state that holds the current presidency of the organization. During the meeting, the foreign ministers of the OSCE participating states will review and assess the security situation, as well as discuss the organization's activity. Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu will deliver the national speech in which he will talk about the views of the Republic of Moldova on the regional situation. In the margin of the mentioned meetings, the head of diplomacy from Chisinau will have more than 15 bilateral meetings with counterparts from partner countries.
