Folk Music Orchestra "Folclor" celebrated 55 years of activity
A festive concert took place on Saturday, at the Republican Palace, involving soloists of the Folclor orchestra, led by maestro Petre Neamțu. Artists and special guests from Romania - Alina Mavrodin Vasiliu and Pugna Alexandru performed in the concert.
On behalf of the general mayor, the deputy mayor of Chisinau, Angela Cutasevici, came with a congratulatory message, who wished the orchestra many fruitful and inspired years to come, a devoted audience that would appreciate the talent of the soloists and instrumentalists.
As a sign of high appreciation, Angela Cutasevici handed the orchestra a certificate of gratitude from Chisinau City Hall, for the fruitful years of activity and the promotion of the traditions of our nation.
The "Folclor" Folk Music Orchestra was founded in 1968 with the aim of preserving and propagating Moldovan folklore - the treasure of national culture.
The members of the orchestra conquered the public in Moldova and abroad, performing in Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Austria, Germany, India, Nepal, USA, etc.
