Moldovan Prosecutor General's Office Deputy Dismissed, Replaced
Igor Demciucin was dismissed from his position as Deputy Prosecutor General on Monday, March 4, 2024, by the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP).
The decision was made after Ion Munteanu, the Acting Prosecutor General, expressed a lack of confidence in Demciucin.
Sergiu Brigai was appointed as the new Deputy Prosecutor General.
CSP President Dumitru Obadă stated that the Council had approved Brigai's appointment for the duration of Munteanu's term in office.
