Maia Sandu Launches Ambitious Reforestation Drive in Moldova
President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova has initiated a bold move towards environmental conservation by announcing the commencement of a significant reforestation campaign slated to begin on March 10.
"We aim to plant over 13 million seedlings and care for the plantations established last year when we successfully regenerated forests on seven thousand hectares," stated President Sandu, emphasising the collective effort required for sustainable forest management.
In alignment with this vision, President Sandu urges citizens to actively participate in the greening initiative under the National Reforestation Program. Recognizing the pivotal role of forests in mitigating the impacts of climate change, she envisions a greener future for Moldova, characterised by a clean environment and a healthy society.
