Students who show violent behavior towards colleagues, teachers or other employees of the educational institution where they study could be expelled without having the right to re-enroll in the same institution. The draft law amending the legislation in the field is to be approved today, March 6, during the Government meeting.

Starting from 2025, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova will have a new identity document. The provisions are included in a draft decision developed by the Public Services Agency.

Also today, the Cabinet of Ministers is to approve a new Forestry Code that includes provisions related to the management of forests under the management of the local public administration. The Code stipulates the rights and obligations of the managers as well as the requirements of the state if the forests are used for recreation. The current document was modified 7 years ago, and the authors of the new Forestry Code argue that it no longer meets the international legislation.

The Ministry of Agriculture proposes to the Executive for approval a draft law for the creation of 10 agricultural chambers,

following the experience of other states such as Slovenia and Poland. Through them, farmers will be able to collaborate to discuss the problems in the sector and possible solutions. Farmers who own at least 2 hectares of arable agricultural land or 1 hectare of land occupied by perennial crops or vegetables will be able to become members of the chambers.

Also today, ministers are to approve a National Program for ensuring human rights for the years 2024-2027 and the Program for rare diseases for the next 4 years.
