Maia Sandu visited Oradea for old style Christmas
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, arrived in Oradea on Saturday evening. The information in the Romanian media, according to which the head of state would have flown on the Bucharest-Oradea route, was confirmed for Radio Moldova by the press service of the presidential institution.

Details of the final destination, purpose of the visit and return to the country were not provided. According to the sources of the Bihoreanul website, Maia Sandu was not accompanied by any local official upon exiting the airport. The same sources also say that, in an area inaccessible to the public, Maia Sandu was met by the president of the Bihor County Council, Ilie Bolojan. Upon departure from the Airport, the two SPP cars, flanked by two Police cars, set off towards Oradea, without a traffic light or traffic being restricted. According to the local media, President Maia Sandu will leave Oradea with the same flight on Sunday evening.
