She also said that Chisinau "restricts their budget, violates their rights, causes instability and destabilization in Gagauzia and throughout the country." For now, the representatives of the government have not come with any reaction.

At the same time, Guțul also writes, the leader from Moscow promised to support Gagauzia and the Gagauz people in defending their rights and legal positions in the international arena. This in the conditions where Putin, who started a large-scale war against Ukraine two years ago, is almost isolated externally.

On March 5, the head of the Intelligence and Security Service, Alexandru Musteata, said that Moscow is preparing new destabilization in the Republic of Moldova. According to him, in the coming months, the protests will be resumed, and the Gagauz Autonomy and Tiraspol will be used to blackmail the Chisinau authorities. The director of the Intelligence and Security Service announced that the institution has come into possession of several pieces of information that show that attempts are being made to compromise the referendum on accession to the European Union, scheduled at the same time as the presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova.

Meanwhile, today, the acting general prosecutor, Ion Munteanu, declared on Jurnal TV that soon the file in which the Gagauzian bashcan is targeted will be sent to court.

"Ms. Guțul is targeted in a criminal case that is at the finalization stage. In a relatively short time, a solution will be adopted on this criminal case. The criminal case is forwarded to the court, we are at the stage where we present the materials of the criminal investigation. From our point of view, sufficient evidence is collected to prove the involvement of Mrs. Guțul in criminal matters". Evghenia Guțul was elected mayor of the Gagauz autonomy following the election last spring. She was on the lists of the Şor Party, declared unconstitutional in the meantime. After the first round of the elections, the law enforcement officers opened a criminal case regarding the corruption of voters and the illegal financing of the candidate's team. According to the Prosecutor's Office, eleven people were recognized as suspects in this criminal case.

At the same time, she is accused of abuse of power, and the Comrat Prosecutor's Office opened a contravention case against her in September 2023.

We remind that the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, refuses to invest Evghenia Guțul in the Government, as long as she is working for a criminal group, she will not sign the decree.
