Moldova's Readiness Against Russian Hybrid Warfare Supported by NATO
The Republic of Moldova possesses all the necessary capabilities to confront the hybrid warfare instigated by the Russian Federation, with ongoing assistance from the North Atlantic Alliance in essential domains.
Tanya Hartman, head of NATO's Eastern Partnership Directorate, emphasised this in an interview with Europa Liberă.
"In terms of hybrid tactics, this presents an unbounded challenge. Nonetheless, we have collaborated with Moldova for several years, fortifying its resilience against hybrid threats, drawing from our own experiences. Disinformation poses a significant challenge for both us and Moldova. We are bolstering Moldova's resilience to reinforce its security, defence, and ability to withstand challenges, whether in energy, cyber, or hybrid sectors."
Authorities in Chișinău have long asserted that Russia is waging a hybrid war against Moldova. Recently, the Intelligence and Security Service reported that Moscow is devising a new plan to disrupt the referendum on EU accession and the presidential and parliamentary elections, orchestrating clashes in Gagauzia and Transnistria.
