LIVE Parliament, in plenary session. Government's report for 2023 on the agenda
The deputies, gathered in a plenary session, will today hear the Government's report for 2023. Also, the parliamentarians will examine in the first reading the draft law on the piloting of voting by mail. The Parliament's agenda also includes for debates in the first reading the approval of the National Archaeological Register, amendments to the legislation in the field of insurance, to the Law on the Protection of Geographical Indications, Designations of Origin and Guaranteed Traditional Specialties and to the Law on the National Anti-Corruption Center, reads a statement of the Legislative.
In the second reading, the legislative initiatives to amend the Law on local public administration, the Law on the Population Support Fund, as well as the adaptation of the digitalization normative framework will be discussed. Also, the Parliament is to appoint a member of the Court of Accounts and a member of the Central Electoral Commission.
The Standing Bureau also decided to complete the agenda of tomorrow's plenary session. Deputies will hear the report of the Commission for Emergency Situations and will examine three projects to harmonize national legislation with EU legislation on the replacement of ID cards, on climate action and on labor legislation.
Also, two financing agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank regarding the rehabilitation of roads in the Republic of Moldova and the modernization of railways will be ratified. The Parliament will also ratify the Agreement with the Republic of Lithuania in the field of social security and will debate the new Forestry Code.
