On the last day of his visit to Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihail Popsoi, went today to Lyceum No. 2 in the city of Hostomel, which was destroyed by the barbaric attacks of the Russian Federation. The official states that the classrooms, where the students used to study, are completely destroyed, and only the ammunition holes remain on the walls.
"The city of Hostomel was attacked in the first days of the war, but in a short time the Ukrainian authorities managed to liberate it. The Russian Federation must withdraw its troops and weapons from Ukraine, and then pay for all the damage caused. The Republic of Moldova will continue to support Ukraine, which is fighting bravely for its freedom and ours, but also for the whole of Europe", wrote Mihail Popșoi on social networks.
At the same time, the official went to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ukraine.
"I thanked them for their courage and dedication in carrying out their duties in these difficult times of war."
In the context of the working visit to Ukraine, the minister had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olga Stefanishyna.
"We discussed the steps taken by the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to join the European Union, the process of connecting the legislation to European standards and the reforms implemented by our countries. We also talked about the possibilities by which the assistance and expertise tools at the level of the European Commission can be used to strengthen the institutional capacities of the structures empowered to deal with the European integration of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. We periodically agreed to organize mutual visits and consultations on the subject of European integration",
We remind you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi had a meeting in Kiev with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba. During the meeting, the officials discussed Moldovan-Ukrainian bilateral cooperation, the security situation in the region and the steps taken by the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to join the European Union.
