EU Funds Women-Owned Businesses in Moldova
Women entrepreneurs can apply for a grant program to start or develop a business, funded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, IPN reports.
The program provides non-refundable financial support of up to 200,000 lei for women entrepreneurs. It also provides non-refundable financial assistance of up to 600,000 lei for developing businesses.
According to the Ambassador of the European Union, this is the last of seven support programs for small and medium-sized businesses that the EU has funded under a large-scale project worth 8 million euros.
The Women's Entrepreneurship Support Program is an improved continuation of the former "Women in Business" program.
The grant money can be used for both machinery and equipment, as well as raw materials and quality certificates.
