Sumy Under Fire: Russian Strikes Target Infrastructure

Forces of Russia have struck the Sumy region twice, targeting infrastructure, as reported by the regional military administration on March 17th.

Rescuers are working at the scene. Victims have not yet been reported.

The city of Sumy in northern Ukraine borders the Russian regions of Belgorod and Kursk. Due to its proximity to Russia, the city is bombed almost daily.

Recently, following an attack on a five-story apartment building in Sumy, two people were killed and at least eight were injured.

The series of attacks on northern Ukraine comes as Russian troops intensify their assaults on civilians across the country, particularly in Odessa.

Also on March 17th, Russian forces struck the southern city of Mykolaiv twice with missiles, injuring at least five people. One person died in the hospital.
