The Ministry of Energy and the International Energy Agency (IEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding
During the tenth edition of the Berlin Dialogue on the energy transition 2024, the Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov, and the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy, the purpose of this Memorandum is to promote common objectives related to security of supply, the development of competitive energy markets and regional and European integration. Through this partnership, projects and activities will be carried out in areas of common interest, such as renewable sources, energy efficiency, energy security, clean energy financing, etc.
"The cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and the IEA will involve the exchange of information, policy analysis and recommendations, training and capacity building, participation in regional or international events and the organization of joint seminars and conferences", reads the quoted statement.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) is an intergovernmental organization with extensive experience in addressing energy security issues and energy policy cooperation at the global level. Through its policy and analysis, the IEA promotes energy security, economic development and sustainable solutions to shared global energy concerns.
