EU Releases €4.5B Aid to Ukraine for Recovery: Borrell Announces

The European Commission has disbursed the first instalment of macro-financial aid to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program.

This transfer, totaling 4.5 billion euros, was announced by Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The aid aims to support Ukraine's recovery, reconstruction, and modernization efforts.

Borrell further highlighted that discussions on accelerating Ukraine's accession to the European community bloc will take place during the European Council meeting on March 21.
