In the first week of 2023, the border police documented 126 people who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, 346 foreign citizens and 60 means of transport were refused entry to the Republic of Moldova.

At the border crossing points, the flow of people was more than 360 thousand. The most transited state border crossing points were: Leușeni, Chisinau International Airport, Sculeni, Cahul and Giurgiulești-Galați.
