Czech Parliament Slams Russia's War Crimes

The Czech Parliament has declared Russia the biggest security threat to the Czech Republic. This declaration was made in a resolution adopted on Wednesday evening, according to DPA, as quoted by G4Media.

The text states that the "terrorist regime in Russia" is attempting to expand its sphere of influence over Ukraine and other European countries, and is committing war crimes in the process.

Therefore, the resolution states that "it is of crucial importance to continue to help Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression."

The document continues, stating that "stopping the supply of military material, on the other hand, would lead to the conquest and destruction of Ukraine by the Russian terrorist regime."

The Czech Republic, a member of both NATO and the European Union, has to date provided Kyiv with tanks, combat helicopters, and multiple rocket launchers.

The resolution garnered support from 84 MPs within Prime Minister Petr Fiala's liberal-conservative coalition. There were 17 votes against and 42 abstentions.

Prague recently launched an initiative aimed at purchasing around 800,000 artillery shells for Ukraine from non-EU countries. Germany, France, and Canada have expressed their desire to contribute financially to this effort.

There are increasing reports of ammunition shortages on the Ukrainian side, while Kyiv is making increasing efforts to recruit new soldiers for frontline operations.
