The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation condemns the armed attack in Moscow and urges Moldovan citizens to call for help

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova condemns the armed attack in Moscow and expresses "deep" concern for the safety of Moldovans in Russia, reads a statement of the diplomatic mission posted on social networks. The embassy announces that it is in contact with the local authorities to determine whether there are Moldovan citizens among the victims.

"The Embassy is deeply concerned about the safety of Moldovan citizens in the Russian Federation as a result of the armed attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall," reads the Embassy's message posted on social media.

At the same time, Moldovan citizens in Russia are urged to contact the diplomatic mission at the phone numbers: +7 (929) 964-90-79; +7(925) 036-41-75; +7 (926) 838-41-47 or write a message to [email protected].

"Please be vigilant and follow the instructions of local authorities to ensure your personal safety. The embassy is in contact with the local authorities to determine whether there are Moldovan citizens among the victims", reads the message of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Moscow.

An armed attack happened in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow. At least 40 people were killed, more than 100 are injured. Russia denounces a terrorist attack and has opened a criminal investigation.

Ukraine denies any involvement in the armed attack in Moscow. The US says there is no indication of Ukrainian involvement.
