Ukraine Strikes Russian Fleet in Crimea
Ukraine claims to have struck two landing ships, a communications centre, and other infrastructure used by the Russian Black Sea Fleet off the coast of annexed Crimea, according to the BBC.
An announcement from the Ukrainian General Staff stated that the ships Yamal and Azov were destroyed.
The Russian-installed governor of the port of Sevastopol said that 10 Ukrainian missiles were shot down.
Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed mayor of Sevastopol, said that an office building and a gas pipeline were destroyed in the Ukrainian attack, and a woman was injured by shrapnel.
It is unclear if he was referring to the same attack as the Ukrainian General Staff.
Russia also launched a missile and drone attack on the capital Kiev and the Lviv region early Sunday morning.
