Latvia Welcomes Igor Grosu: Key Meetings and Events Revealed
The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, will embark on an official visit to the Republic of Latvia from March 25th to 26th, at the invitation of his counterpart from Riga.
As per a statement from the Parliament, the head of the Moldovan Legislature will meet with Latvia's leadership – the country's President, Edgars Rinkēvičs, the President of the Saeima, Daiga Mieriņa, and the Prime Minister, Evika Siliņa.
In Riga, the two Parliament presidents, Igor Grosu and Daiga Mieriņa, will conduct a press conference.
The agenda of the visit also encompasses discussions with the presidents of the parliamentary committees on European affairs and foreign affairs, with representatives of the Incident Response Institution for Information Technology Security in the Republic of Latvia, as well as participation in a flower-laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument in Riga.
Traditionally, the President of the Parliament will also meet with Moldovan citizens living, studying, or working in Latvia.
The parliamentary delegation accompanying the head of the legislature to Riga includes deputies Alina Dandara, President of the Friendship Group with the Republic of Latvia, and Mihail Druță, member of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee.
