Moldova to switch to summer time

Moldova will switch to the summer time on 31 March, on the last day of this month. Thus, on the night of Saturday, 30 March, to Sunday, the clocks will set forward by one hour and 03:00 will become 04:00.

The switch to the summer time is made in accordance with the proposal by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and concomitantly with the European Union member states.

In March 2019, the European MPs voted for the giving up of the changing the time in the European Union starting from 2021. Thus, each EU member state will be able to choose whether to remain at the permanent ‘’summer’’ time or at the ‘’winter’’ (standard) one.
