Two more days to pay the mandatory health insurance policy
Citizens who insure themselves individually will be able to pay the mandatory health insurance policy on March 30 and 31, through the government electronic payment service Mpay - mpay.gov.md.
In order to provide informational support, the National Medical Insurance Company (CNAM) announces that the work schedule of the CNAM Info telephone service has been extended. Thus, people who have questions regarding the payment of the mandatory health insurance policy can call Info CNAM – 0 800 99999 this weekend as well, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Also, according to CNAM, today between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., they will activate the beneficiary relations subdivisions within the company's territorial agencies, including representatives in each district, to guide and help people pay the health policy.
We remind that March 31 inclusive is the last day on which the mandatory medical insurance policy can be paid with facilities. Thus, self-insured citizens pay from 1,014 lei to 4,056 lei, depending on the category they belong to.
With the purchase of the insurance policy, citizens can benefit from a range of medical services. Among them are preventive medical examinations; reimbursed drugs and reimbursed medical devices; breast and individual prostheses for patients with malignant tumors of the breast, head, neck and locomotor system; dialysis, chemotherapy and radiotherapy services. Also, insured persons have the right to emergency dental assistance for pregnant women; in vitro fertilization services (partial); medical care at home for people with chronic diseases, including those who cannot move; cataract operations, heart and other urgent operations.
