OSCE Chair-in-Office Ian Borg on a visit to Chisinau
The Republic of Moldova has proved a strong commitment to the promotion of equality and social rights, the protection of employees and the encouragement of job creation, thus contributing significantly to the principles outlined in the European Pillar of Social Rights, said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu, at the press conference held alongside the European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights and the Director General of the International Labor Organization.
"This visit honors us. It is a clear sign of support for the reforms that the Government and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection are implementing. We had a fairly busy agenda, a fairly productive meeting, in which we exchanged opinions about the difficulties faced by the Republic of Moldova in the field of labor and social protection, about the reforms we are implementing and how we can boost our collaboration, both in terms of European integration, as well as our collaboration with our partners from the International Labor Organization" said the minister.
The European Commissioner for jobs and social rights, Nicolas Schmit, and the Director General of the International Labor Organization, Gilbert Houngbo, paid a working visit to Chisinau, on April 10-11, at the invitation of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu .
