Moldova's New Political Coalition 'Together' Aims for European Integration
In the Republic of Moldova, a newly established political coalition named "Together" has emerged, comprising the DA Platform, LOC, the Party of Changes, and CUB.
Representatives of these entities underscored its primary objective: to safeguard Moldova's European integration, mitigate political uncertainties, and foster societal cohesion.
Concurrently, the coalition has put forth proposals for consultations on the "Pact for Europe," mirroring the framework of the Snagov Pact. This initiative, intended for endorsement by political entities, civil society, prominent figures, and academic representatives, aims to unify all forces within Moldova to ensure and affirm its European trajectory. Ștefan Gligor, president of the Party of Changes, emphasised this unifying aspiration.
Alexandru Bujoreanu, representing the League of Cities and Communes Party, articulated the coalition's commitment to inclusivity, stating their dedication to moving forward alongside those marginalised or neglected in public discourse, recognizing their potential contribution to European integration efforts.
Igor Munteanu, leader of CUB, highlighted one of the coalition's core objectives: to reinstate trust in the political sphere, emphasising the importance of public confidence in Moldova's governance.
Reflecting on Moldovan society's fragmented state, the coalition's adoption of the name "Together" signals a concerted effort towards unity and a novel approach to Moldovan politics. This journey, albeit complex, holds promise for substantial societal benefits.
