A Moldovan died in the US after he was electrocuted by the police. MAE specifications

A 28-year-old Moldovan man died after he was electrocuted by the police following altercations in a gas station in South Carolina, USA. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova. According to the institution, the American authorities are to issue the mortuary passport for the repatriation of the lifeless body of the young man.

"We convey our sincere and deepest condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and friends. The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Washington DC is in permanent contact with the American authorities, being available to take all necessary consular actions", reads a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an informative note.

The US media writes that the tragedy took place on April 7. The law enforcement officers were alerted to intervene following an altercation between an employee and the owner of a PECO station. Arriving at the scene, officers determined that the store was in disarray and the patron was behind the counter suffering from injuries.

To immobilize the Moldovan, the police shocked him. The young man suffered a heart attack, was transported to the hospital, but the doctors could not save him. The exact cause of death is to be determined by specialists.

We remind that this case became publicized after the grieving family of the young man appealed to the citizens on social networks to provide help to cover the expenses of the burial and repatriation of the lifeless body.

The young man is the son of a lawyer from Chisinau. Thus, the Union of Lawyers from Chisinau sent a message of condolences to the family and urged Moldovans to offer help to the young man's relatives.

"On behalf of the Union of Lawyers from the Republic of Moldova, we send our sincere condolences to the Sprincean family and to all those who knew Stefan. In these difficult times, we stand with all those who are grieving and offer them all our compassion and unconditional support. May God rest him in peace and place his good soul among the righteous!".
