In her address to the entrepreneurs, President Maia Sandu commended their projects, ideas, the risks they undertake, and their courage in developing businesses in the Republic of Moldova.

"Entrepreneurs who thrive in the European Union excel globally, and the government stands ready to support you. In Europe, laws are enforced, contracts honoured, and work duly compensated. I urge you to join us in our endeavour to widely convey the message that accession to the European Union presents the sole opportunity for transforming the Republic of Moldova into a democratic, secure, and prosperous state," emphasised the head of state.

Liliana Busuioc, the director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Alliance, asserted that the alliance is a trusted partner of the authorities. She also highlighted that 1% of legislative acts passed by the parliament are initiatives proposed by the alliance, demonstrating a collaborative effort.

"We all aspire to European integration, and each of us can contribute to this goal. As an association, we are committed to representing your needs and ensuring that this integration proceeds smoothly, yielding mutual benefits. We envision a country where we all thrive together in peace and tranquillity," stated Liliana Busuioc.

According to Dumitru Alaiba, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, the authorities continue to support the business environment and foster innovation and economic growth.

"The figure that resonates with me the most is as follows: only 1,825 companies exported to the EU in 2023. While this number is modest, it steadily increases annually. By reducing barriers, providing funding to entrepreneurs, and collectively striving to internationalise businesses, we can significantly augment this figure, enabling more entrepreneurs to experience firsthand the benefits of the association agreement," mentioned Dumitru Alaiba.

Furthermore, Dumitru Alaiba emphasised that the objective of the authorities in Chișinău is to facilitate the prosperity of every entrepreneur locally, thereby fostering economic growth and creating more well-paid job opportunities. The ministry has recently launched several financing instruments to support SMEs, resulting in the removal of barriers equivalent to 0.5% of the Gross Domestic Product in just one year.
