The first "Piranha" armoured vehicles given by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany have arrived in the Republic of Moldova. The information was confirmed for Radio Moldova by the press officer of the Ministry of Defense, Ala Diaconu.

Radio Moldova recalls that the equipment is donated for the modernization of the National Army based on the agreement signed between the Ministry of Defense and the German side in October 2021.

The carriers will be used in the training process of the military, who are to be deployed in international peacekeeping missions.
