Correspondence from Oslo // Maia Sandu starts her state visit to Norway
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, begins her two-day state visit to Oslo, Kingdom of Norway. The delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov and Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi.

The official welcoming ceremony at the Royal Palace in Oslo of President Maia Sandu will start at 11.00 local time. In the Palace Square, the national anthems of the Kingdom of Norway and of the Republic of Moldova will be sung. Then the official delegation from Chisinau will be introduced.
Representatives of the Moldovan diaspora and Norwegian citizens will also be present in the Palace Square. According to the protocol, a group photo will be taken. His Excellency President Maia Sandu, Their Majesties - King Harald and Queen Sonja, as well as Their Highnesses - Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Astrid will enter the Bird Hall of the Royal Palace.
Also, the Head of State, accompanied by Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will lay a wreath at the National Monument in Akershus Fortress.
The agenda of the visit also includes a meeting with the President of the Storting, the Legislative forum of the Kingdom of Sweden, Masud Gharah-khani. A meeting with the members of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and Defense will also take place at the Parliament.
In the evening at the Royal Palace in Oslo there will be a State Banquet in honor of President Maia Sandu, where the king will also give a speech.
The state visit will continue on May 7, with several events scheduled, including a meeting with the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre.
Also, the delegation from Chisinau will participate in the energy round table at the Norwegian Development Cooperation Agency, with speeches by the president Maia Sandu and the energy ministers of the two countries Terje Aasland and Victor Parlicov. During the day, there will be other meetings in an extended format, at the Norwegian Institute of Foreign Affairs, but also at the University of Oslo, where the president Maia Sandu will give a public speech about the situation in the Republic of Moldova and in the region in the context of the war started by the Federation Russian in Ukraine.
