The Republic of Moldova celebrates Europe with special guests and concerts. The program of events
The Republic of Moldova celebrates today, May 9, Europe Day. On this occasion, the European City will open its doors to visitors in the Grand National Assembly Square (PMAN). European Commissioner Johannes Hahn is also expected at the event, who will give a speech, together with the country's president, Maia Sandu. The celebration will end with a concert performed by local and singers from Ukraine. Prime Minister Dorin Recean invited the citizens, at the start of the Government meeting on May 8, to celebrate Europe together.
According to the agenda made public by the Government, starting at 11:40, the "European City" will open its doors to visitors. At 12:00, the President Maia Sandu and the European Commissioner for Budget and Administration, Johannes Hahn, will give the opening speeches of the Europe Day. In the Government pavilion, the members of the Cabinet will organize meetings with the visitors, in which they will talk about "how we can build a European Moldova together". Also then, the technical and equipment exhibition of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Customs Service and the State Fiscal Service will be opened.
Starting at 13:00, tours for visitors to the Government Building will begin.
The celebration will end, at 19:00, with a concert performed by Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici, The URS and LUPII lui Calancea. Also, the "Kalus" Orchestra from Ukraine will take to the stage of PMAN, as well as "Hecenii" - the first dance ensemble to receive the Golden Buzz in the "Romanians have talent" contest.

We are waiting for you at the Government pavilion to discuss with the Cabinet of Ministers how we are building a European Moldova. We open the doors of the Government for all those willing to visit it and prepare activities for children. And in the evening, we are waiting for you at an extraordinary concert. Europe is you! ", Prime Minister Dorin Recean declared on May 8.
We remind that Europe Days will be celebrated this year including in several regions of the country, such as Balti, Cahul and Ungheni.
